About

Mission

In a world of fast fashion and fleeting trends, ZAYA is a return to purpose. We exist to preserve endangered crafts, empower artisans through dignified work, and create timeless, eco-conscious accessories that connect cultures and generations.

From the Founder

In 2025, Saritha Ignatius founded ZAYA after witnessing the quiet brilliance of artisan communities in India. What began as admiration grew into a movement — one that celebrates skill, sustainability, and storytelling.

“ZAYA is more than a brand to me — it’s a bridge. A bridge between cultures, between old and new, between the hands that make and the hearts that carry.”
Saritha Ignatius, Founder

How We Work

  • We partner with artisans using traditional methods like hand weaving, block printing, and natural dyeing

  • Every bag is made from ethically sourced, eco-friendly materials

  • We ensure fair wages, safe conditions, and creative agency for every artisan

  • Our designs are intentionally timeless — made to last, not to landfill

“When I stitch, I remember my mother’s hands doing the same. ZAYA has given me a way to keep that alive.”
